Interlude

Truth is at the focus of the various statements and "evidence" is part of why people doubt me.

So I want to ask this question then.

Why would I lie?

Is there a reason for me to lie -- having had to throw away my entire life in America, seeing my homeland bombed and my people persecuted, what exactly do I have to gain here?

What do I gain by baring myself completely and utterly open, by revealing some of the most vulnerable and humiliating moments of my life, to be dissected, neglected, and ignored by people I at one point considered my closest comrades?

I have nothing left to lose. I am alone, I have been abandoned by my so-called comrades who still pretend as if I was perfectly safe and can return to my homeland, and thus, I write these statements because people deserve to hear the pure, unadulterated truth.

To frame me as "seeking revenge" is such a misogynistic archetype placed onto survivors, and to frame me as being "divisive" is absurd when unity can exist when embracing conflict and confrontation. Much like life, conflict is a part of organizing, and if your organization cannot embrace handling and engaging with conflict, you cannot claim to be radical.

With that being said, I do have some evidence in relation to PSC internally acknowledging that Ryan exhibited predatory behavior, and then as the past month has shown, have done nothing. Since Austin organizing leadership is so quick to condemn, to gaslight, to act as if I never did anything -- here is some evidence that I did begin a process for accountability.

These are dated around April 2-4, a few days before I fled on April 5.

I also intend to address the SRA DFW statement.

Frankly put, it's terrible, hastily put together, with little to no care.

I don't think you stand in solidarity with marginalized communities, and for some reason including Kashmiris when you have shown no effort or work for the Kashmiri cause.

Why are you mentioning Kashmir -- is it because I, a Kashmiri Muslim woman, condemned you? Have you ever cared about Kashmir before a Kashmiri woman called you out?

I don't think you care about my community and I find it offensive that you included my people in some paltry, white-savior attempt to make yourself look better and more inclusive. You know nothing about Kashmir -- why are you now acting as if you "stand in solidarity"?

Also, considering it took your organization so long to address the allegations put out against Jack, which have been circulating for nearly the past two years, Jack's document in 2023 defending himself which mentions SRA members, and your relationships with PYM and PSL gone unaddressed.

You have not addressed these issues in detail: how you let down the survivor and continue to skirt around the issue of your relationship with the two organizations that Jack also participated in.

If you wanted to be actually principled, discuss how you'll be navigating your relationship with them.

Will you be taking an immediate pause from organizing to go through a restructuring process? Will you be allowing outside organizations such as the ones listed in the RRC statement oversee accountability? Your statement is paltry, tells us nothing, and is a cheap attempt at deflecting the condemnation away from you. The community cannot and will no longer accept the bare minimum.

I outlined my accountability process in my previous statements, RRC has also reiterated the same and expanded on the organizations that need to be held accountable, and I expect there to be a community-wide accountability process that is not led by or includes SRA DFW.

You are not to be trusted with accountability -- you are the ones to be held accountable. It is carceral to act as if you can self-investigate and hold yourself accountable.

Lastly, I commend the survivor for their continuous strength and resilience.

Your bravery, resilience, and honesty is inspiring and has continued to encourage me to remain steadfast in my own condemnations of sexual abuse in organizing.

Part 9 coming soon.
